Should We, or Shouldn't We?

Lauren and I saw this 1950 Chrysler for sale at a dealership up north last weekend, and immediately fell for it. You can't tell from the iffy cameraphone picture, but this car is one of those soft, dreamy greens that cars just don't come in anymore (Audi TT excepted), and it's just beautiful. I'm thinking about offering a third of their $6000 asking price and seeing what happens. It would be lovely to have something like this to to take for ice cream at night.

I'm always torn between fiscal responsibility and the fact that you only spin so many times around the planet. Usually I err on the side of caution, but you need to be able to have a special exception clause.

Oh go for it! What's the worst they will say - no? (or yes, depending on your point of view). Cars like that APPRECIATE. We had a 51 chevy up until about 4 years ago, and we kick ourselves every time we see one since we sold ours.
