Hillary Issues and Open Letter to the American LGBT Community

Yesterday Hillary Clinton issued a letter to the Lesbian-Gay-Bi-Transgender communities of this country. I thought it was well written and the ending, where she speaks about a gay couple and their help with her dying father, was especially moving. Now I don't know...I've always hung on the fence between Clinton and Obama, but this statement speaks to me. Little irks and saddens me more than the fact that some people believe they have the right to deny others the opportunity of marriage based on their sexual preference. All humans are born with the right to inherent dignity. Read Hillary's letter HERE and decide what you think.

The fact that I am beginning to like her more and more is starting to make me irritated with myself. Good ole Hills.

I have always liked Hillary Clinton, and I have a lot of respect for her putting out this letter publicly. She is not a uniting force in American politics though, and I wish that Barack Obama would put out a similar letter, because he is more electable in a general election. He does have an LBGT policy committee. You can be progressive and pragmatic simultaneously. From Today's Village Voice: http://tinyurl.com/2vborc
