To date I have stayed out of the fray regarding Kwame Kilpatrick's behavior. I'm not his constituent, and it is up to the people of Detroit to decide his future. Regardless of one's feelings about the mayor, the entire episode is extremely sad for Detroit and for Michigan at a time when we can't really afford to be distracted by a scandal.
This said, you need to listen to Huel Perkins read the transcripts of the text messages (direct-play link), it's a hoot.
