The day I have been waiting for has arrived - yesterday I harvested the first large tomato of the season from my garden. Those little grape tomatoes are great, but I do not have enough of them for a salad yet and they don't convey the same sense of satisfaction that coaxing big heirloom fruit out of the ground brings. I just can't wait to eat this.
