The anti-feedbag

You can't knock a good sandwich. Go on, try to knock it. I'll wait.

(pause)

See? You couldn't. Above reproach. Eating at your desk can be just fine, all upside. Some days, you just want to chomp in front of the screen, skip the human contact, skim the news, and maybe do some shopping.

Some find turkey bland, but to the contrary, it is a willing palette for your garnishes. Here we are working with challah bread, spicy mustard on top, capers and mayo on the bottom, and roasted turkey and some arugula in the middle. Rather than a confusing melange of discordant flavors, the result is a face-punch of a sandwich that smashes your taste buds with lunchtime bravado. It is exactly what you need in the middle of the day.

You get sweetness from the turkey and mayonnaise, savory egginess in the bread, bitterness from the arugula, heat from the mustard, and salt from the capers. Pow! Chomp! Chew! Good stuff.
