Island Casual
I'm going to a wedding reception at the Village Club, remember that place? It's for my friend Kristin's little sister Karen. She's getting married on an island in the caribbean this weekend. So, for those of us who couldn't join her, she's having a "mainland" celebration too. Anyway, the attire is "Island Casual". I found THIS Lilly Pulitzer dress. What do you think? Way pricey, huh? C'est la vive! That is, unless you guys can tip me off to some more wallet friendly places that sell "island casual". My husband will thank you.

That is a gorgeous dress.
it would look lovely on you. :)
Thanks Kendra! How are you guys today? Hope tonight's BBQ is good!
Thank you, I like that dress too, BUT...it'way way more than I want or CAN spend at the moment. Last night, I found in the basement this very cute, very summery dress. It is patchwork madress, made up of a bunch of little pastel plaids. It would be perfect but....it was a maternity dress! Oh well, the hunt continues for island casual. :)
So cute! But, isn't it missing a place in there, like $24.80 instead of $248 or whatever it is? I think they left out the dot!
Sure wish Target would carry cute stuff like this!
Judy! Great idea, you know what? There is a dress at Target that I can think of that is floral, kind of fun, summery.I'll let you know if it works. Thanks! By the way, YEAH! They forgot a decimal point!
Ha! I didn't think you would like the dress I found, that's why I erased it. And I couldn't get the highlight to link. But now since you know I posted a comment, I will do it again anyway! I liked it at first glance, but it might be over the top. Too bad you don't have the cherry dress!

Oooh, I love Bree's dress idea!
Did you find something? I just went to Target today and got this great skirt for 3.74. No..>I didn't forget a decimal point. That's what I LOVE about Target. :)
I'm totally getting one of these:

Great find Bree.
Niiiiiice, Jon. We will be sure to see you from our house when you walk out of your front door!
Ooooh, I just saw, you could both match each other. I say go to Party City and find some cocconut bras and grass skirts, now that would really make a lasting impression!
