I really enjoy King Kaufman's sports column on Salon.com. Sometimes it hits close to home, and this is his concise take on President Matt Millen's contract extention with the Detroit Lions:

Here is a list of the Lions' accomplishments in Millen's first four years:

# Last-place finishes: 3

# League-record losing streaks: 1 (24 straight road games)

It's obvious King doesn't get Detroit though - we just play for the fun of it, no one really cares who wins. It's about sportsmanship.
