Lauren's 2MP Nikon seems to be becoming progressively more trouble-prone, and there is a great deal online at Dell on a new Konnica Minolta E500 ($140 for a 5MP point-shoot until tomorrow, with coupons) and I was curious enough about it that I went to Woodward Camera to check out the camera and take a few snapshots on my own SD memory card. It is light on advanced features, but I have a film SLR already for the art shots and the internals seem pretty solid. I ran these pictures through Picasa with the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button which brightened them up, and I think they look pretty good. I would appreciate some comments though, because there are no reviews yet on this camera.

For $140, they seem to take very decent pics. If I could get a camera for that price like that, I'd be all over it!
