Oy.

So, we got back from the Consumer Electronics Show, and over the last couple of weeks we have been going through the vendor catalogs to see what's new from the foreign suppliers. This afternoon I was reviewing the "ForGrand" factory's book when I noticed these:

Is it just me? Or could they have picked a worse name? I know that all the good product names like Impala or Cialis are taken, but this is pretty over the top. I realize there's a language barrier, but seriously, a little research goes a long way on stuff like this.

I think they might have been going after the "youth" angle on this one.

Or at least, that's what my internet search turned up when I read about Hebe, the goddess of youthon wikipedia.

Or am I missing something that you see that I'm not?

(by the way, I swear to god that my word verification for this post is "katfued" - how funny is that?!)

It's not a nice word - http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hebe?r=75

I totally didn't even think of that when I saw it.

When you said "not a nice word", it all clicked. Your post subject should have hinted at the context.

I can't wait to come out with my own line of offensive headphones!

Actually, now that I think about it - the Jewish culture needs to take that word and make it their own.
