Woodward Love

Tomorrow marks one week until the Dream Cruise, which means that things are starting to heat up. For the next week it should be bumper to bumper old cars every night, and around Wednesday the police will start shutting Woodward for a whle at night to thin out traffic.

There was so much cool stuff out tonight that I had to take pictures. Lauren was like, "Why? You'll see so much more at the cruise." The thing is, there's so many great cars that you don't often see the same one twice. You have to get it or its gone.

Everything was wonderful tonight; these are just the personal highlights. The subjectivity of what's cool is beyond dispute - everyone out there is projecting who they are, or who they want to be, or what they got lucky in in high school.

For some, it's a chance to really express a flamboyance that's otherwise discouraged in public:

For some it's a chance to relive the best time they ever had:

For others, it's a chance to piggy back on the nostalgia and general good feelings surrounding the event:

Whatever, everyone has a blast. I can't wait for next week.

That is an event that is truly unique to your area. We have car shows - groups that ride through town, but nothing like that!
