Lake Michigan is considered Canadian territory? Really????

I wish we were on Lake Michigan. Detroit's boundary with Canada (Windsor Ontario) is the Detroit River.

I think this might be why I am a math teacher and not a geography teacher! HAHA

Did you know that at one point in time, Detroit was the potato chip capital of the WORLD?!

Just another random fact.

By production or consumption?

Production, and by the looks of it, probably also consumption.

Better Maid potato chips had a strong hold during the "golden era" of potato chips, it wasn't until conglomerates like Frito-Lay came along that local chip production moved elsewhere.

It's all in the Detroit Almanac, available in local bookstores and through the Detroit Free Press - hands down the best book ever released about the city of Detroit.

I think I"m going to have to look up that book. Sounds very intriguing.
