Time to Call in a Professional

Today Noah and I were downstairs "working out" in the "gym". I like to call the basement playroom a "gym" because it has a slide, a yoga ball, a couple of hand weights, a mat and some pilates tapes. So, just by default, if Noah and I are anywhere near that room, it always seems as though we are working out somehow.

Today after taking yet another hundred pictures of Noah doing just about nothing, I realized that I barely have any pictures of Noah and I. I would love love love a nice photo of Noah and I, one that I could have blown up or made into a black and white to hang on the wall. Silly me, thinking for one second that I myself could A.)Take a picture of us on my own and B.)that my energetic child would sit still at all.

The following is a series of the rapid downward spiral of a toddler who doesn't want his picture taken with Mom.

At first I try to talk him into posing.

Then I get creative; I hold his head still!
I almost get him to smile. It was more like a hoot though. Maybe it was a bark....
Ok, here's the part where he's embarassed to be seen with his Mom.
I try to sweet talk him into smiling for the camera.
I even give my little butter bear a kiss.
He grabs my head and then bites, yes, BITES my lips! Ok, I know this picture does not look normal, but we aren't kissing, no, he is only trying to remove my lips. OUCH!
Next he attemps to pierce my eyebrow.
Rip my nose off....
and scalp me...

Seriously, I get the picture, he doesn't want his picture taken with me. The kid plays too rough though. You should see what he did to Dad's face this weekend, and I'm not kidding! How long will this obsession with facial features last?

Luckily, I got a free coupon for a portrait at Target...should have used that one today.

LOL...that's great, Lauren! He's such a dollface.
Don't worry...in a couple years he'll be POSING for you...just like Merry does.
We miss you and are looking forward to seeing you March 5th.

Love,
Kendra

You should have used reverse psychology - "Hey Noah! Don't look at the camera! No! No! Don't do it! Don't do it! Oh heavens, please don't smile! Noah! Stop!"

Works every time.

Oh that is too funny Lauren! I tease David all the time because I am always taking pics of him and the kids, but there is only maybe 1 or 2 of me with them. Weird how that works.
