There's a new optical shop in downtown Birmingham (at this rate within the year every store in Birmingham will sell only high-fashion sunglasses or 60 flavors of gelato), and we spotted these in the window. This lustrous polarized precursor to the "Geordi LaForge" were designed to let (insane) beach bunnies check out the guys on the sly:

Not that they'd want to. Note that it also LOOKS TERRIFIC AS A HEADBAND!

They were at Optik in Birmingham, Michigan, a great source of vintage frames.
